======Tie Fighter in DosBox======

=====Prerequesites=====
  * Game: Tie Fighter (Gold Collectors Edition CD)
  * DosBox: 0.74 | [[http://www.dosbox.com/download.php?main=1]]
  * This will work on most versions of Windsows (XP, Vista, Windows 7) & Mac OS X (Tiger, Leopard, Snow Leopard)
  * Game CD Required

=====Key configuration steps=====
  * Step 1 - USB Joystick Required
  * Step 2 - Create a directory to serve as the virtual C drive during your DOSBox session. I usually just create a directory named ‘dos’ and stick it in the root folder of my hard drive. You can stash the folder in your user profile, of course, but typing C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Desktop\Dos every time you want to play TIE Fighter rapidly gets tiresome.
  * Step 3 - Downlowd and Install DosBox
  * Step 4 - Open the DosBox Options file to make some simple changes:
    * Run DoxBox Full Screen
    * Add the following Quick Start commands
      * mount c c:\dos
      * mount d d:\ -t cdrom
      * c:\
  * Step 5 - Run DocBox.  You will see a C:\ prompt.
  * Step 6 - Install Tie Fighter.  Use 'D:\' then 'Instal' without the "'"
  * Step 7 - To play Tie Fighter, type 'CD TIECD' then 'TIE' (without the "'") at the C:\ prompt.
